Laid back day

We had a laid back Valentine's Day! My day started out with Kaitlin sleeping until 9 and Colin napping until 10 (after he woke up at 6:30) so i was so thankful for a quiet morning. We surprised Kory with a cookie cake. He was very happy and Kaitlin was so proud of the cookie " she made him".

We made Valentine cards and had Chickfila for lunch.

Kory surprised me with the cutest flowers and got amazing takeout from Carrabas ! It was a very laid back day and it was very sweet and special.

Neither one of my children wanted anything to do with my camera or each other so this was the best I could get of their adorable shirts.

Valentine Treats

Kaitlin talked and talked and talked about her goodie bag.  She woke up and could not get dressed fast enough to get to school and finally get her precious prize. She was so proud of it and could not wait to see all her Valentines!

She has looked at her Valentines everyday and is begging  me to get a book so “she can keep them forever! Kaitlin is a big fan of Valentines Day!

We made some special heart cupcakes and she wanted to make sure they tasted ok! The heart sprinkles passed quality control and Kaitlin passed them to be eaten by everyone.

Kaitlin was so proud of her straw Valentine she gave to everyone in her class.

Kaitlin and her “CUPIG” …he does the cupid shuffle!!

Best $2.50 I ever spent!

Books and balloons and art

I had to run an errand today with both Kaitlin and Colin. I usually run all my errands with just Colin when Kaitlin is in school! I promised Kaitlin a balloon if we had no drama so we came home with a valentine balloon!

This is her love language and Chickfila!

Dad sent up my Kindergarten reading primer and Kaitlin and I have had the best time! I love my sweet Kindergarden teacher and I remember vividly working thru this book! So it has been fun working on sounds, and letters with Kaitlin!

They made some beautiful art at school and Kaitlin was so proud of her masterpiece.

They also made the cutest crafts studying about Queen Esther

I threw them away but wanted to keep the memory! Don't tell Kaitlin!

Kaitlin has asked many times if she could send a Valentine to Lightning McQueen! So I finally let her make a card and I mailed it to Disney! She is so thrilled and knows he will love it! Sweet girl.

First steps

Colin took his first steps by himself last night! Kory and I were both in his room and Colin took 3 steps with no assistance! I am so glad we were together and got to experience his first steps ! It was a very special night!

He took a few more steps... His motivation was his bottle and getting some food!

He played in the kitchen all weekend and had so much fun! Colin also loves the tent and tries to enter thru the window! He got stuck but had the best time.

He can still crawl faster than walk so I think for now he will stick with crawling! My baby is growing up!
