Go Vols

Kaitlin was SO excited for football season this year.  She was really looking forward to spending time in Knoxville to cheer on the Vols!

Unfortunately, her 3 weeks in Knoxville were a roller coaster ride on Saturdays.  I believe we captured her concern for the rest of the season pretty well …

“WHAT … the Vols are 1-2 … AGAIN!?!?!?!?”

“Oh well, it’s a good thing I look cute in orange! GO VOLS!!!”

Make way for Ducklings!

One of our favorite restaurants in Knoxville is Litton’s in Fountain City. It is a must stop when we go home so we went with Kory’s parents one night. It has a famous duck pond across the street and we both went there with our family as children. We thought Kaitlin would have fun going to visit the ducks after our amazing dinner. There were ducks galore and Kaitlin RAN in an attempt to get in the water with the ducks. Thanks to Kory for his quick intuition he grabbed her but she was kicking trying to get in  water. She loved the ducks and we will have to go back next time we are in Knoxville!

Happy Birthday Pop!

We got to celebrate Pop’s Birthday while we were home in Tennessee! Kaitlin got all the attention from her 4 cousins and they had a blast chasing her around.

Fun with Gigi & G Daddy

We were blessed to spend 2 weeks at my parents house in Knoxville and I managed to get 3 pictures of my dad and none of Gigi or Aunt Rachel! I am terrible and will make up for it from now on!Kaitlin stayed with mom everyday while I went to my excercise class every morning. Gigi & G Daddy stayed with Kaitlin while  Kory and I went out to eat ALONE! What a treat to not have to feed anyone or eat super fast. It was such a blessing to get some quality time with Kory.   This is the new “game” Kory taught Kaitlin and GDaddy continued to play. Kaitlin would squeal riding the ottoman and then she would try to climb back on it all day. Not a great game (Kory) but Kaitlin had fun! Can’t wait to see you guys soon! We are not playing this at my house ever!IMG_5499

Picture Day

We are back in NWA after being gone 2 weeks. Kaitlin had a wonderful time in Knoxville and we got to spend some quality time with our family. We had not been home since our move so it was so nice to go visit everyone!  After 12 hours of driving we finally pulled in our driveway around 9:30 last night so I  was busy fixing a lunchbox and a backpack this morning!  It was a miracle we got to school on time much less dressed ! I was wanting to put Kaitlin in some cute fall clothes but I knew a sundress would be best since it is still 90 degrees! The director at Mother’s Day Out stopped me on the way picking her up to tell me about Kaitlin's Picture Day experience…. ( I didn’t even know it was picture day)  They did trouble taking her picture since she was running everywhere but they somehow got her picture taken!IMG_5555  IMG_5559 IMG_5560 IMG_5561 IMG_5562

She had a great day at Mother’s Day Out and even took a 90 minute nap. It was great for me to have a few hours to get our house back in order after being gone. I have cleaned, unpacked and done laundry. I even went to Wal-Mart and fixed dinner for tonight. Picture Day was a great Day!
