I think I may need to take back what I said in my previous post about sibling resemblance. Kory’s Mamaw sent us a newborn picture of him that arrived yesterday. I believe the comparison should really be between Kory & Colin!
Mamaw has been praying for us to have a boy that looked just like Kory (and for him to be healthy of course). It’s a little hard to tell at this point, but her prayer may have been answered!
My sister Rachel flew in from Nashville late last week to spend the weekend. She helped Kory & I tremendously with Colin!
She & Colin even watched the Tennessee basketball together last Friday night. Unfortunately, the Vols lost so maybe it’s not just Kory who has the bad luck watching Tennessee play? Either way, Rachel & Colin both look good in Big Orange!
But, the person most happy to see Rachel was Kaitlin Grace!
Rachel occupied Kaitlin for 2 1/2 days and they had a blast together!
Rachel is just so good with Kaitlin.
Kaitlin loves her Fun Aunt Rachel & am so grateful that I have such a wonderful sister.

There’s just something about a boy & his mom.
Colin is just such an amazing little guy. My other “baby” is nearly 3 years old now. I forgot how TINY babies were until he was born.
So far, he’s been such a good baby. He doesn’t fuss much (when he does, you know it!) and is quite peaceful.
While he’s improving his night-time sleeping, he’s great at day time napping!
In the end, Rachel took the best picture of him. This is how I like to think of my baby boy …
What a happy baby boy!
It’s been a really fun first week with Colin (bottom). It’s really been fun to look back and really remember what it was like with Kaitlin (top) for the first time.
Kaitlin (left) LOVED this little lamb swing. For the longest time, it was the only thing we could get her to sleep in. She was so big in it by the time we had to drag her out, her feet dangled out of it! We definitely let her use it way too long! So far Colin (right), has enjoyed it … but honestly, he sleeps well anywhere so far.
They’re both so cute in the same car seat!
We went to go for our first checkup last week (bottom). I feel like it wasn’t that long ago when I took Kaitlin (top).
Our first checkup went well. Colin is very healthy!
We have been so blessed by family & friends during the first week with Colin. First, Colin’s Aunt Gina came to see him and took care of Kaitlin for us while we were at the hospital. We wouldn’t have been able to share such a special day together without her!
We had a lot of friends from church come see Colin as well. Vonda, Amber, Mary Avery & Erin all came to check on us Wednesday night along with the Johnson's.
Then Tracy, Laurie, & Kelly stopped by with Hollis on Wednesday morning to visit! All these girls and our whole Sunday School class are SO special to me! They have been great friends & such a blessing ever since Kory & I moved to NWA 2 years ago.
Once we got home from the hospital, my sister Rachel flew in from Nashville to visit for the weekend. Colin just loves his cool Aunt!
Finally, Kaitlin’s Kiki flew in last night to stay for the next couple of weeks with us. They were already having a lot of fun vacuuming with the floor with her pal Simba!
The last few days have definitely been tough but having such a wonderful family & great group of friends to help you makes a huge difference. Thanks to all our friends for stopping by, expressing your love, & providing meals & to our family for driving & flying a lot of miles to help us!
