1st day of school

I was a worried how Kaitlin would do today after a rough Open House experience!! She had a wonderful day and everyone at school raved about how great she did and made me feel so much better! There were some tears but overall she had an amazing day!

She walked right in to school this morning with her backpack on and carrying her lunchbox and walked right to her room like she had done it a million times!

This is Kaitlin’s 1st year napping on a mat so I was convinced she would be running around the room when she was suppose to be napping. To my surprise, she had no problems laying on her mat still and quiet!! She did lose her bow during nap time and got very upset! Once they fixed her hair she settled back down and was back on her mat!

We are so thankful for a great 1st day of school!!!

Daddy’s Little Sunshine

Kaitlin and Kory are BIG Buddies and she is so excited when he comes home from work! She will wait at the door for him when she hears the garage open… it is quite a welcome home everyday!

Open House 2011

Today was Open House for Mother’s Day Out.  Kaitlin knew it was going to be a long day so she started off with a “nutritious” breakfast!

We arrived at school and she was so excited to be there!  I could barely contain her.

However, this picture pretty much sums up the day …

I’m sure you’re thinking that everything went great since she’s so happy.  This picture accurately represents our morning because the Open House was more like Kaitlin’s hair – a big hot mess!

Kaitlin found out Ms. Erika wouldn’t be her teacher this year and there would be a new teacher, new room, & some new friends.  She was a little bit anxious to say the least.  So, after that wonderful experience, we came home and Kaitlin took some time on the couch to contemplate the new school year … she seems thrilled …

After a while, things got back to normal around our house.
