Merry Christmas from the Shinlever’s!
Kaitlin is ready to visit and spend time with family at Gigi’s house and Kiki’s house! Before we head east, Kory and I let Kaitlin open presents at home. She was SO excited to be able to FINALLY rip open all the shiny paper that we’d been depriving her of for the past 3 weeks!
Stockings were hung by the chimney with care with hopes that Buzz Lightyear (her favorite) would soon be there!
Kiki sent her a Princess Cozy Coupe to play with in the spring. Legend has it this present was Kory’s favorite as a toddler … the red one, not the princess version!
Another hit was a set of 8 Toy Story books. She wouldn’t give them up …
Kaitlin got her Panda Pillow Pal that she’d been pulling off the shelf at Walmart for the past month! She decided the best way to play with the Panda was to ride him …
And finally, I believe it would’ve taken the jaws of life to pry her new Toy Story 3 friends from her hands!
It’s safe to say that Kaitlin enjoyed her first wave of Christmas presents. We can’t wait to see our friends and family for a Tender Tennessee Christmas!
It is hard being a baby in the winter. You can’t go outside and you have to wear all sorts of bulky clothes. It is just tough being a girl!
It has been so fun dressing Kaitlin in Christmas clothes. I am going to miss the Christmas season and all her cute outfits!
We are dreaming of a White Christmas!

Nothing cuter than Christmas pajamas. Don’t know where she learned to carry her blanket like Santa’s bag.
I just love Kaitlin’s personalized Christmas tree shirt! It’s been tough getting a picture of her in but I finally got a few good ones. All it took to perk her up was to mention our Christmas tree!
Last year, this was as close as she got to it. Doesn’t she look like she’s about to get into something???
This year, she gets to get a little bit closer. Kory & I have had this tree for several years with ornaments we’ve collected at the beach every summer. It’s a really cool tree and I believe it’s safe to say that Kaitlin enjoys it as well.
Maybe intrigued more than anything! Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree … oh how Kaitlin Grace adores you!

Kaitlin’s first Christmas movie/special in 2009 was A Charlie Brown Christmas! It was really one of the first times we ever got her to intently watch the television for more than 30 seconds – pretty good to hold off a 9 month old that long!
One year later, this annual special is must-see-tv again. Kaitlin, Kory & I snuggled up on the sofa to watch it and again, she was enthralled to watch a classic!

After Charlie Brown, Kaitlin decided to run around the downstairs practicing to be a good little mama! She loves her baby stroller. I have to admit, she’s a natural!
I just can’t resist that cheeky smile of hers! We love our little girl!
Kaitlin has never been a great eater. Lately she would rather play or color and was too busy to eat. This all changed this weekend. I think she is going thru a growth spurt because all she wants to do is eat! We have eaten early dinners and even had huge snacks. She is eating a TON! Kaitlin is one happy girl after her meals.
