Groundhog Day

This was groundhog day last year ... Snow on the ground …

AGAIN I feel we are in the movie “ Groundhog Day” for the second year! This is the scene outside our house today.

We will not be going anywhere anytime soon. NWA got around 8 inches of snow on top of a layer of ice and sleet. Not good!

Kory was scheduled to leave Tuesday AM but his flight never made it out. I was a little worried about being alone , in a snowstorm ,with a very sick Kaitlin. It would not have been a good situation and I am so thankful to have him home with us!

Here is the forecast for the rest of the week. I know you are jealous! This is actual temperature not wind-chill! They are calling for more snow on Monday/ Tuesday. All this snow reminds me of our snowy winter in Virginia last year…  Guess it feels like Groundhog Day!

Kaitlin has a double ear infection which is no fun.Poor girl’s fever is finally gone so we have done some extra snuggling!

The more animals the better

First Sippy Cups, Then Sunglasses

So, when I named my blog a couple years ago, “Sippy Cups” was for Kaitlin.  “Sunglasses” was supposed to be for me, but FINALLY, after 22 months, Kaitlin may have taken it to heart …

In case you can’t tell, it’s not exactly really bright in our playroom.  She still felt the need to wear them around anyway!

Just too cute and too cool …

After a couple days of non-stop sunglasses action, Kaitlin finally got over her new obsession.

As she handed her hot pink sunglasses back to me, I couldn’t help but think it was fun while it lasted.  For a moment, my little girl was all about Sunglasses and Sippy Cups!

Winter Party

Kaitlin recently attended a Winter Party at Gymboree and had a blast.  She has so much fun at these events since she can just go wild! 

She had a great time jumping around in all the “snow”!

This look says, “What do you mean this isn’t REAL snow??”

She LOVED running through all the bubbles … which were considered “snow flakes” at the party …

Gymbo The Clown says “Bye Bye Bye”.Kaitlin loves her some Gymbo!  She waited not-so patiently in line to get a goodbye kiss from him …

It’s a New Car!!!!

As we prepare for another winter storm that’s supposed to hit NWA on Tuesday, we had a pleasant break in the weather over the weekend.  We woke up to a 70 degree day on Saturday and took advantage of it all afternoon!  Kory finally got around to putting together Kaitlin’s Princess Cozy Coupe that her Kiki got her for Christmas.  She was SO excited to see her new car that we couldn’t keep her out of it!

The sun was shining so bright Kaitlin actually used her sunglasses for the first time.  Doesn’t she look cool in her new ride???

We had so much fun on Saturday and now I believe all 3 of us have Spring fever and it’s still January. 

Thanks to God for blessing our area with such wonderful weather.  What a day!

A Little Girl & Her Purse

Kaitlin found one of my old purses the other day and hasn’t let it go since.  She’s be playing with it non stop …

She carries it around all over the place and goes from her bedroom to the playroom filling it with her toys.  From her brush, to her cars and Mrs. Potato Head, there isn’t much she won’t put in there … reminds me of my Mimi stuffing her purse full of goodies to go to the movie theatre!

What a girl!  I am so proud of her.  She’s going to cost her daddy some money one day if she keeps this up!
