Santa Cow is Comin’ to Town

We’ve been singing “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” and showing Kaitlin cartoon pictures of Santa so that when the time came, she wouldn’t be afraid.  Well, that didn’t quite work out this morning.  I believe we would’ve been fine but Santa tried to take over, and it was down hill from there.  She wanted nothing to do with him.

So, we went to Chickfila for breakfast and look who was there …

SANTA COW!!!!!!!!!!!!  Kaitlin was very, very interested.  She was so excited she could barely contain herself.  It’s like she had seen a celebrity!

She even sat in his lap to take a picture.  Who needs Santa Claus when you have Santa Cow?!?!

Elf on on Shelf

Aunt Rachel brought a special visitor to our house when she came to visit us. She brought our family a very special elf!

We are so excited to start this new tradition with Kaitlin but we thought she wouldn’t really understand this year.

She LOVED the elf!! We underestimated the amount of love she would have for Elf and jumped right in reading his book!

He is in a different place every morning SO  first thing when we get up we run around the house to find him. Then he gets a big hug and kiss. Thanks Aunt Rachel for such a fun tradition for our family.

Thanksgiving

What a difference one year  makes in the life of a toddler.  Here’s Kaitlin last year playing with Aunt Rachel …

And here’s the 2010 version … taller, a lot more hair, and a whole lot more energy!  (Kaitlin, not Aunt Rachel)

We look forward to Thanksgiving every year.  It’s the one time of the year where our family gets together wherever we live since Kory normally works on or through the holiday.  The tradition moved from Virginia to Northwest Arkansas for the first time this year and Kaitlin was sooooooo happy to her family when they arrived that she dropped everything she was doing!

 IMG_6305

She gave everyone a big hug to let them know how happy she was to see them at her house!

And I just can’t resist this one.  I bought her a new bow for Thanksgiving.  It was kind of a “big girl” bow … maybe a little too big … Who’s hair bow is too big for them????
