Adjusting to a brother

Kaitlin has figured out that Colin will be staying at our house and is becoming a little more curios about the whole baby idea! She loves to look at him and is really checking him out. Kaitlin gets so worried when he cries in the car and will try to console him and will sing to him. It melts my heart to see her have such compassion!

She also has turned into a good little momma putting her babies in the bouncer!

She walks up to him and shakes his hand saying “nice to meet you”

She shows him the treasures that she finds!

Most importantly she loves to be a big help and brings me burps cloths and pacifiers! She is a great big sister and I can’t wait to see their interaction increase as Colin gets older.

One Month

Totally late with Colin’s one moth post! Colin turned one month old on April 6th!

Colin you were 9 pounds 3 ounces at his one moth checkup and 21.5 inches! You are in the 50th percentile and growing so much everyday! You were in the 5th percentile at your 3 day checkup so we are so happy to see you gaining weight!

You have had an exciting first month and you have been a trooper! You already have been on your 1st car trip and have almost met your entire extended family.

You are getting up every 3 hours no matter what and you want to eat THEN! You are like a clock waking up every 3 hour on the dot!

You love to lay on you back and kick! It is your favorite thing to do and when you get fussy that is the first thing we do to make you happy! You love the swing just like your sister did! That is the only similarity the two of you share! You will tolerate being swaddled, sleeping in the pack n play, and you take a pacifier! Things your sister NEVER did!

You fall asleep in the car every time and you are in the car a lot with all your sister’s activities!

Twins

Aunt Rachel and Kaitlin have always been very similar in looks and personality traits but the more they are around each other the more they are like twins! Kaitlin looks more and more like Rachel as she grows up! And they like to do the same things!

Spring Break

Rachel and Didi came to Arkansas for their spring break! It was a very special week and I was so thankful for them to be here! I got so much done with their help and even got a few naps!

You can tell that Kaitlin is Kory’s child.  She LOVES to play outside …

Kory & Kaitlin have been practicing soccer again lately.  Kaitlin has a GREAT kick but she was more interested in carrying the ball around today.

Our little social butterfly has been on the phone lately too.  Combine that with her love of outdoors & sudden interest in bugs, and Kaitlin started receiving phone calls from “Mr. Buggy”.

Kory is not happy camper when ANY boy calls Kaitlin, even if he is a pretend bug!
