Goodbye Arkansas

It is a very bittersweet day for our family as we leave a place that has felt like home for the past 2 years! Kaitlin has celebrated every birthday here and we added our sweet baby boy to our family!

This is on the day we moved in April 2010

June 2012 The week we said goodbye

I am so blessed to have met such a wonderful group of girls that have been thru the best and worst two years of my life! They have faithfully prayed for me and given such wonderful Godly counsel! They have been there with texts, emails, meals, and listening ears!I will never forget them and how much they helped me thru such hard times! They had a going away dinner for me at Abuelos! Such a sweet time! I am really going to miss them!

Kaitlin is having a hard time understanding what moving is and she has been out of sorts for a few weeks! She has said her goodbyes to all her toys and last night even told the bathtub goodbye! My prayer for the move is for safety and an easy adjustment for Kaitlin!

I guess I have started a tradition of taking pictures on the last day before we move! So I had to keep up that tradition! Kaitlin was not excited but I took a few!

This is the house we brought Baby Colin home from the hospital! He will always be from Arkansas!

We have been so blessed by our time here in Arkansas! Our church has been such a blessing and we have watched our children grow up before our eyes! We have such wonderful memories in our house and it is sad to say goodbye! But we take our memories with us and are excited a new adventure for our sweet little family of four!

We have had a lot of showing on our house and we are so thankful for each showing! We are trying to get creative about our adventures during showings with a 3 year old and a 3 month old!

There has been lots of napping

And lots of treats!

Sunday we had a very early morning!! I was up from 3-4:30 with Colin and Kory got a work call at 4:30 and was up until about 6ish!! So we got home from church and our house was not “showing ready” I was planning on a big nap! I saw I missed a call from our realtor and called her back at 12:54! Her message was we had a showing at 1:00!! We got the house in order in a hurry and got out of the house!

We went to the bookstore and the pet store (animal house as Kaitlin like to call it) She had the best day!! Here is her talking about her adventures!

3 Year Old Checkup

Kaitlin had her 3 year old checkup yesterday! She was so excited about going and she was wonderful! She is 40 inches tall and 35 pounds! Kaitlin is still in the 90th percentile for height! She is gonna be a tall girl!

They asked her to do all sorts of tricks' and she did most of them! She does not like to perform on command but she was ready to perform for the doctor and was so funny! She was asked to count to 3 and her response was “ In Spanish??” Such a show off!

Kaitlin was behind last year on her words and had about 25 at her 2 year checkup! It is amazing to see how far she has come in a year! She has thousands of words now and talks in paragraphs without taking a break! We are so proud of her progress!

Kaitlin did have to get a shot and did wonderful! They asked if she wanted a prize and she said she would like a band aid!! We have set the bar pretty low for prizes at our house!

My sweet friend Robin made her amazing cookies and this cute burp cloth when Colin was born! I have no idea how they are just now showing up in my pictures but they were so yummy and adorable!
