Have You Met Rachel?

My friend Kelly is doing a spotlight this week on singles and I knew I needed to introduce my sister, Rachel, to the world! She is gonna kill me but I figure it is better to ask for forgiveness later!

Rachel is 27 and lives in Knoxville, TN. She is the best sister and aunt ever! Rachel is the most faithful and fun person you will ever meet! She has the best smile and tells the best stories.

Rachel loves Jesus and is so passionate about her faith! She has volunteered with Young Life and is an amazing leader!

She loves Tennessee football and, like a true girl raised in the south, she knows her football. She is so fun to go to games with and is very competitive in her fantasy football league!

Rachel is a counselor in the school system and she is amazing at her job! She has helped so many kids in her job and she loves what she does. Rachel is an awesome friend, loves birthdays, and knows how to pick out the perfect card for anyone!

Fun in the Sun

Another beach day with my cute little frogs!

Beautiful weather not a cloud in the sky! It was a great day at the beach!

We drove to Murrells inlet to eat at Lees inlet kitchen! It was on Southern Living's top 10 seafood resturaunts and it was wonderful! The hush puppies were amazing!

Beach baby

We had amazing weather the rest of the week and it was sunny wIth a breeze! Kaitlin dug a big hole everyday and then decorated it. It kept her busy and she had a blast!

We got a little tent for him to play and nap! It worked great and allowed him to play without getting in the sun!

We ate outside at Jimmy Buffets and had my favorite volcano nachos! They are huge! We never finish them all but they are so yummy!

It was another great day at the beach!

Mermaids and captains

Sunday was suppose to be stormy so we headed to our favorite brunch place, Sea Captain's House for a great start to the day!

It's a tradition to get your picture with the captain! We headed to the aquarium and Kaitlin had the best time!

Kaitlin even got to meet the mermaids at the aquarium! No cameras allowed but she was so excited that she met a real mermaid!

It never rained so we packed up and headed to the beach in the afternoon. Best friend crabby had to come as well.

We ate at Boundary House that night and had a great night!

First Day of School

Kaitlin Grace on her 1st day of Preschool

She wanted to be sure I took a picture of her matching lunchbox and backpack! Kaitlin was so proud.

Last year we had the wonderful thing called “carpool line” I miss it already! So this year I walked her in her room and she squeezed my hand very tight on the way into school. I took her coat off and she was gone! She never even looked back!

Kaitlin had an ok day and she said she missed me!!! Kaitlin will need some time getting adjusted to a  new school, new teachers, and new friends! Hoping that Thursday is better and that we have a wonderful year!

Beach trip

We spent the last 10 days on vacation and it was such a wonderful time for our little family! It has been a wild year and we needed some time to relax and just be together. We split the drive into two days and spent the night in North Carolina!

Kaitlin had looked forward to this trip and was so excited! We got to the hotel late and they had hot cookies waiting on us! Kaitlin was so happy. She had never slept in a hotel bed before and she did great! Except she is the loudest sleeper!

We made it to the beach the next day and it was beautiful!

She was so ready to get on the beach!

We always eat at Duffy's seafood shack the first night! It is casual and always good seafood! We had a great meal and a great start to vacation.

 

We realized that the only consistent area in our life has been Myrtle beach in the last few years! With all our crazy moving it has been nice to vacation at the same place!
